Start your day off with brunch at Cafe Henri (27 Bedford St), a fabulous hidden gem which specializes in crepes.

Then wait 30 minutes.

Now, walk over to Carmine Street Pool (1 Clarkson St, b/w S 7th Ave & Varick St) which is clean and free! It is open from July 4 to Labor Day. You must bring a lock with a key or they won't let you in and they prefer flip flops (over sneakers).
