EM's pick:Leave the city and bike (or drive) through a few wine tastings in Eastern PA. There are six wineries in the Lehigh Valley that are in bike riding distance. All six, riding from Allentown, PA would make up a 60+ mile ride each way and the trail (whether in car or bike) is absolutely beautiful. You can take a bus from Port Authority directly to Allentown or drive from Manhattan in less than 2 hours.
The wineries are open at least 12-5 on Sundays and longer on Saturdays. Cheers!
