YH's pick:Next time you're in Hell's Kitchen, stop by Clinton Community Garden (W 48th St, b/w 9-10 Aves). This amazing sanctuary opened in 1978. Technically you need to live or work in the neighborhood to obtain a key (or know someone who does), but the people in this hood are so friendly so just wave at the entrance door and someone will let you in.
