One of the Best Meals We Ever Had
Everything about Depuy Canal House is amazing. The stone tavern was built in 1797 and the original fireplaces still stand. The chef, who does not limit his cooking to one nationality, can be seen cooking these masterpieces in the kitchen from a window in the main dining room or from the upstairs balcony.
Make the visit an overnight experience by staying at the Inn at Canal House.
This summer I celebrated my 10th anniversary in the city. I've worked only at non-profits, always lived in Manhattan, and promised myself that as long as I pay insane rent I'll take advantage of all that the city has to offer. My friends are journalists, artists, museum workers, website owners, finance folks, makeup artists, dancers, teachers, and entrepreneurs. We share many things in common but our love for the city will always unite. Grab a friend and go live the city, explore our favorite hidden treasures, and always stay...a-muse-d.
