Sounds lovely! There are more and more restaurants popping up in Battery Park. Here are our favorites starting from the lowest end of Battery Park:
1. Battery Gardens - call ahead as they are often closed for private parties but the place is gorgeous - you will feel like you are in Miami but still have the fabulous Hudson view.
2. SouthWest - fabulous outdoor seating (both in a lounge area and at tables), basic Latin food, and they serve a bucket filled with bottled beer on ice!
3. Steamer's Landing - great casual American seafood with outdoor seating. Order the catch of the day.
4. The Ritz-Carlton - American bistro in a great setting. Have a drink at the bar, pretend to be a tourist, and talk to the bartender about his favorite spots in the city.

5. Pan Latin Cafe - This female chef serves nutritious, organic, fair-trade Latin food. Though the setting is cute, grab your food to go and sit on the grass.
